This Privacy Policy explains how the Toolbox Pro mobile application, listed as “Toolbox Pro: Smart Instruments” (the “App”), handles information. The App turns supported iPhone sensors into measurement, detection, motion, environmental and outdoor tools.
The App is operated by Oğuz Tonyalı (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Toolbox Pro is designed to work without an account or first-party backend and to keep measurement content on your device.
1. No Account or First-Party Backend
You do not need to register, sign in or provide a name, phone number or email address to use the App. Toolbox Pro does not upload or synchronize your measurement history, notes, favorites, calibration preferences or sensor readings to a server operated by us.
2. Information Stored Locally
The App may store the following information on your device:
- Onboarding status, unit, appearance, haptic and sound preferences.
- Your favorite tools and local Pro-access state.
- Saved measurement sessions, including the tool, date and time, minimum, maximum and average values, unit and sampled chart values.
- Notes and favorite status that you add to saved measurement sessions.
- Calibration, threshold or other instrument preferences where a tool offers them.
Saved sessions use Apple’s SwiftData storage and preferences use Apple-provided local settings storage. We cannot see, recover or remotely delete this information because the App does not transmit it to us.
3. Motion and Environmental Sensors
When you use a compatible instrument, the App may read supported motion, acceleration, gyroscope, magnetic-field and barometric sensors. These readings support tools such as the spirit level, angle meter, vibration monitor, g-force meter, magnetometer, metal detector, magnetic-field meter and relative-altitude display. Readings are processed on device and are not sent to us or RevenueCat.
4. Location
If you grant permission, Toolbox Pro accesses location while you use relevant outdoor tools. Location, heading, speed, altitude, accuracy and trip-distance updates support the compass, coordinate, GPS, speedometer and trip tools. The App does not use location for advertising or tracking and does not send precise or coarse location to us or RevenueCat.
5. Microphone and Audio Processing
If you grant microphone permission, live audio samples are processed on device to estimate sound level and dominant frequency. Toolbox Pro does not make audio recordings, retain microphone samples or upload audio. The sound tools stop their audio-processing session when they are no longer running.
6. Camera, AR and Photos
Camera access is used by Apple’s ARKit for on-device spatial distance and height estimates. Camera frames are not sent to us or RevenueCat. If the App offers a measurement snapshot, photo-library add access is used only when you choose to save that snapshot. Toolbox Pro does not browse your photo library.
7. Torch and Other Device Features
The App controls the rear-camera torch only when you activate the flashlight, strobe or SOS feature. System haptics, screen rendering and device audio may also be used to provide instrument feedback. These features do not provide us with personal information.
8. Purchases and RevenueCat
App Store purchases are processed by Apple. Toolbox Pro uses RevenueCat to display, validate, restore and synchronize Pro access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous App user identifier, device and operating- system information, product identifiers, purchase receipts, transaction history, subscription or lifetime entitlement status, renewal and expiration information, and limited network or SDK diagnostics.
We do not receive your full payment-card details. The App does not intentionally send saved measurements, notes, microphone samples, camera frames, precise location, motion readings, magnetic readings or barometer readings to RevenueCat.
9. Export and Sharing
Toolbox Pro may create CSV or PDF files from measurements you select. These files are created locally and shared only after you choose an export action and destination through Apple’s share interface. Once you send or save a file to another app, person or service, that recipient’s privacy practices apply. Temporary export files are managed in the App’s local temporary storage by iOS.
10. Support Communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, message, screenshots, exported records and technical details. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, protect the App and maintain necessary support records. Do not send sensitive measurements or location information unless it is necessary for your request.
11. No Advertising, Sale or Tracking
Toolbox Pro does not contain third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, does not access the advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell personal information.
12. When Information Is Shared
Information is shared only with Apple and RevenueCat as needed for distribution, purchases and Pro access; with a destination you select when exporting; with providers needed to answer a support request you initiate; or where disclosure is required by law, safety, legal process or the protection of rights.
13. Retention and Deletion
Local measurements remain until you delete them in the History screen or remove the App. App preferences generally remain until changed, reset or removed with the App, subject to Apple device backup and restore behavior. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save or send them.
Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records as required for transactions, accounting, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary for support and legal records.
14. Children’s Privacy
Toolbox Pro is a general utility intended for users able to operate measurement tools and agree to the applicable terms. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
15. Security and International Processing
We limit data handling and rely on Apple platform protections and encrypted network connections for purchase requests. No system is completely secure. Apple, RevenueCat or support providers may process purchase, technical or support information in countries other than your own under their policies and applicable data-protection requirements.
16. Your Choices and Rights
You may deny or revoke sensor permissions in iOS Settings, delete saved sessions, avoid entering notes, choose whether to export, manage App Store purchases and delete the App. Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information held in support or purchase-related records. Contact us to make a request; we may need information to verify and process it.
